Life through a Painters Eyes
Share
When you are a true painter you look at everything and wonder how you would paint it. You can see beauty all around you. Even the smallest, simplest things like how weeds move in the wind.
Lately I have been mesmerized by the clouds here in Florida. They are different than the ones in Costa Rica. They are giant puffy mountains floating in the sky with colors of pink, orange, blue, gray, yellow, and white. I’ve painted many a cloud, but they are still hard to paint. I still haven’t grasped their beauty, and I'm not sure I ever will. Nature is always more beautiful in real life, and nothing can compare. I still try to capture the feelings clouds give me. I’m still up for the challenge of capturing even the smallest spark of their beauty.
Almost every day I see the clouds and thank the higher power for them. I feel so grateful to be able to see them and all their splendor. When I think of painting clouds, I think of how Bob Ross did it. He had a good technique. But of course, I want to come up with my own way. I will keep trying. I have Florida sunset clouds on my list to paint.
That’s another thing about painters… we have a long list in our minds of everything we want to paint. The list will never be complete.
